17 Cottage-Core Animal Crossing Villagers

I made a list of the villagers I would put on my cottage-core Animal Crossing island. Some of them I like for their home, furniture, etc… but one thing they all have in common is that they’re adorable!

1. Blaire

If you want a snooty islander to switch it up some, Blaire is the girl for you. She still fits the theme, don’t worry. Her house has florals everywhere from her bed to her lamp. She has the fashion hobby, so you can buy her dresses and she will love you for them! Despite all of that my favorite thing about her is that she is a squirrel that looks like a skunk, adding diversity to your woodland islanders.

2. Colton

Colton is a typical fairy tale prince, smug, and wants to be a model. I’m kidding of course, but only kinda, he IS smug, and he WANTS to model. I picked Colton because tons of cottage-core is deeply inspired by fairy tales and more self-sufficient times. I think Colton will be a great addition to your village because he is very gentlemanly and also loves to be outdoors.

3. Deirdre

Deirdre is a deer villager who has a brown home with a straw roof. She wears mustard color knit sweater with flower embroidery on it. She is sisterly and even will take care of the player if they are stung. She shares the same interior as Poppy, so if you like one more than the other you can choose who you’d rather have. She also likes to stay up late, making her the perfect star gazing partner.

4. Ellie

Ellie is a light brown elephant with pink blushing cheeks. Her home’s interior has florals and light colors while the outside matches with a light brown and white coloration minus the burgundy roof. She offers the patterns for the iron garden table and chairs, which make for perfect outdoor decorations in your cottage-core village. Ellie’s theme is natural making her a natural fit for your island.

5. Elmer

Elmer is a lazy horse who loves to chill and eat. His house is a log cabin, adding some rustic to the cottage-core theme, while still light in color so as to not make it stand out. The inside has an adorable clothes line and well, making it look like a backyard more than a bed room. This guy is wearing a cuddly Sherpa style sweater, but he would rally pull off some more cottage-style clothing in my opinion.

6. Egbert

Egbert is a yellow rooster with a knit sweater on and bags under his eyes. Every cottage-core island needs a chicken since cottage-core is focused on going back to the basics. Having this farm animal villager could do that for your island! Egbert is also excellent for his lazy personality, as he likes to live simply and enjoy the days go by. He gets along with almost all other villager types so you are sure to see him chatting and enjoying the company of your other islanders.

7. Erik

Erik is one of my personal favorites because what is more adorable than a deer in a sweater? The inside of his house may look like a ski lodge, but Egbert himself is a perfect match for the cottage-core theme outside of that. He loves to fish and laze around while eating. The outside of his house is a traditional log cabin and looks very rustic, which is perfect because it’s actually Erik’s preferred theme.

8. Flurry

Flurry wears a cable knit sweater with flowers stitched on it. Flurry is a white hamster with a blue, pink, and white color scheme. Her house is very simple, so the items you get from her will make for great basics on your island. Her preferred theme is cute, so feel free to give her ruffled dresses to wear. Her hobby is nature and she’s is sure to be outside in your flower fields enjoying the day with your other nature hobby villagers.

9. Goldie

Goldie is a golden retriever-lab mix making her just about as adorable as it gets. Her personality is a normal type so she is certain to fit along with anyone else you have on your island. Her outfit is a bold plaid print, reminding me of a picnic tablecloth. She offers you a recipe for a hammock that will look great in your outdoor lounge area. The outside of her house is yellow, white, and light brown, keeping with the lighter color pallet of your village.

10. Lily

Lily is the most adorable frog you’ll ever see. She’s obsessed with her garden and the inside of her home looks like a fairy tale forest. The outside of her home looks like a standard cottage with a green roof, creme walls and log elements. Her preferred theme is cute, giving you so many options of clothes that will still fit the theme. Shes a normal villager too which means she will get along with almost anyone else on your island.

11. Maple

Maple is a bear cub that will remind you of a sweet, outdoorsy, southerner. Not the yee-haw kind, but the hiking the Appalachian Mountains kind. She wears a knit sweater with a tree on it adding to her tree-loving style. She has the education hobby rather than the nature hobby, but her theme is natural. She will make a great addition to your island with her adorable home and lovely personality.

12. Molly

Molly is the opposite of an ugly duckling, her light brown feathers and green dress make her one of the most precious villagers you can have on your island. The baby-doll, ruffled dress already is perfectly suited for your island’s theme. The inside of her house looks like it was made with cottage-core in mind! She has bookshelves, potted plants, and a tea set. The outside of her house is a light brown log cabin and looks like a quaint little fairy tale house.

13. Poppy

Poppy is one of my absolute favorites on this list. She is a red squirrel with cream accents and blue on the inside of her ears. The inside of her home is full on autumn theme, has trees with fall colors on the walls, and log furniture everywhere. Poppy also loves to read, and wears an alpine dress making her an even more perfect fit for the cottage-core theme.

14. Timbra

Timbra’s name perfectly suits her as she has a very wood-like appearance. The inside of her home is also decorated with wood accents and lovely patterned walls and carpet. She also has an adorable fireplace in her home. Her house is the perfect definition of grandma-chic, which I think pairs well with cottage-core. She is considered snooty which will add some diversity to your islands personalities while not breaking the theme.

15. Vivian

Bringing in another snooty villager to help add personality diversity is Vivian. At first glace, you may question why she has made the list. I must say it is mostly due to the furniture she will gift you. Her home is decorated in an adorable rattan set that makes her stand out, but she also gifts you items such as a round cushion and desk mirror that will add subtle elements of cottage-core to your island.

16. Skye

Skye is an adorable little hippy who wears a peasant-style shirt with embroidery that matches her light blue fur. She loves to read and bake, which makes her hobbies fit your cottage-core style right off the bat. Her house is neutral and the recipes you will get from her will help you to add more in-theme items to your island. You are sure to enjoy Skye’s company on your island.

17. Slyvana

Sylvana is going to be the perfect addition to your village. Her name literally means “of the forest” in Latin and she speaks frequently of forests too! Her coat is an adorable caramel and creme coloration. The inside of her home is a cherry blossom paradise. However, the outside is white and green making it easy to fit in anywhere you decide, but I’m sure she’d prefer a forested area!
